UNM IT Academic Technologies
UNM Academic Technologies is a department of UNM Information Technologies reporting to the Chief Information Officer with a dashed line report to the Office of the Provost. In collaboration with the Academic Technology Advisory Board, the Center for Teaching and Learning, UNM Online, and many departments across campus, UNM IT Academic Technologies supports teaching and learning tools in classrooms, computer labs and online.
Administratively, UNM Academic Technologies has three main departments:
- Learning Environments
- Learning Management Systems, Scoring, Surveys and Evaluations
- Media & Collaborative Applications
In practice, we work across lines within our own department, IT as a whole, and across the university to support faculty, staff, and students with tools, technologies, and processes for effective teaching and learning. Many of our services exist at the intersection of technology, pedagogy, laws (security, privacy, copyright, accessibility), and institutional policy and practice. This site compiles relevant information from all of these perspectives to provide you with a one-stop location for support of these services.
